RagWall

A cooperation of Ars Electronica Solutions with Umdasch and the Rag shop in Vienna, the Rag Wall is a prototype exploring new forms of retail experience. A 2x7 display wall is divided into two interaction areas where users can navigate through the Rag catalogue, upload their own photo content, get product info by using the two RFID readers located on either side of the wall, and even make product selections that can be saved through a QR code to their mobile devices for checkout later at the counter.

I was responsible for various aspects of the project, ranging from distributed graphics and GLSL code to optimization of resource usage for handling a huge catalogue of more than 5,000 products. The project was realized with openFrameworks and Equalizer.

You can find additional information about the project at the Ars Electronica Blog.
