Petros Kataras is an independent Creative Engineer finding common ground between technology, art, science and architecture. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from UoC and an MSc in Adaptive Architecture and Computation ( presently Computational Architecture ) from The Bartlett, UCL. His research and development work has ranged from evolutionary algorithms in performative digital morphogenesis to interactive applications in graphic clusters, combining computational thinking with creativity.
After completing his studies and working as a Research Assistant at AAC, he joined Ars Electronica in Linz, Austria in 2011, where he contributed to diverse large-scale installations and projects for five years. Since 2017, he has worked independently while maintaining strong collaborative ties with Ars and partnering directly with various other creative studios.
